Dr. Peter Wayne interviewed in TIME Magazine
TIME.com has posted an article on the benenfits of tai chi, "Why Tai Chi Is As Good For You As CrossFit." The article exclusively interviews two tai chi research experts, one being Peter and the other being Dr. Michael Irwin of UCLA. Peter's book, The Harvard Medical School Guide to Tai Chi, is also extensively referenced.

Dr. Peter Wayne attends Cheng Man-Ching documentary premiere
On Thursday, June 9, 2016, Peter and Stanwood attended the premiere of a new Cheng Man-Ching documentary film at the Museum of Moving Images in Queens, New York. "The Professor: Tai Chi's Journey West" is directed by Barry Strugatz and chronicles the period of Cheng Man-Ching's life in New York City from 1964 until his death in 1975. It features photos and video footage of the Professor, plus recollections and reminiscences from dozens of his students, many of whom were in attendance including Ed Young, Maggie Newman, Ken Van Sickle, Lawrence Galante, Robert Chuckrow, Bill Phillips and Robert Morningstar, Peter's teacher.

Mark L. Fuerst writes on American Heart Association website
Mark L. Fuerst, co-author with Dr. Peter Wayne on the The Harvard Medical School Guide to Tai Chi, has written two articles about tai chi for Heart Insight, the magazine of the American Heart Association. The first article, "The Benefits of Tai Chi: Strong Body, Healthy Heart," discusses how tai chi can positively affect the cardiovascular system. The second article is an online bonus, "How Tai Chi Impacts Cardiovascular Health." In it, Fuerst reviews many of the heart conditions that may benefit from tai chi practice.

Dr. Peter Wayne and Mark L. Fuerst win AMWA writing award
The New England chapter of the American Medical Writers Association has chosen Dr. Peter Wayne and Mark L. Fuerst as one of the winners of their biennial Will Solimene Awards for Excellence in Medical Communication. The awards recognize outstanding work in medical, biomedical, and health communication published during the previous two years. Wayne and Fuerst were honored at a luncheon on June 21 for their work on The Harvard Medical School Guide to Tai Chi.
