The
Tree of Life Tai Chi Center was established in 1985 to build bridges
between Eastern and Western approaches to health, well-being, and
personal development. Our curriculum is centered around Tai Chi Chuan,
qigong, meditation, and related healing and martial arts--practices
that strengthen and revitalize the body, nourish the heart, and focus
the mind. All Tree of Life courses are led by experienced and
traditionally trained instructors, many of whom are actively involved
in Tai Chi medical research.
Our program is open to everyone
and includes ongoing group classes, workshops, and private instruction.
Whether you are interested in learning methods for working with stress
and health, seeking martial arts training, or interested in personal
exploration and growth, our rich curriculum can help you attain your
goals.

Tree of Life Tai Chi Students Observe:
"As
an acupuncturist and student of East Asian medicine I have long
understood the theory of Mind Body Spirit Medicine. Studying and
practicing Tai Chi Chuan' at TOL has helped me embody that theory."
- RG, Acupuncturist, 4-year practitioner
"Over
the years I've found that studying Tai Chi is a subtle and profound way
to learn about myself and how I relate to the world. During the busy
week it's such a relief to go somewhere where I'm encouraged to give my
mind a rest, to give myself permission simply to feel and not to think."
- LC, Bookbinder, 8-year practitioner
"I
value Peter's connection to the scientific research community and the
studies showing benefits to major health issues such as chronic heart
failure and balance disorders. I have witnessed people with chronic
injuries and health issues improve mobility, balance, and quality of
life. Energies and bodies soften as they strengthen, people's
flexibility and humor emerge. As students become more skilled and
self-confident, they seem to connect with a more peaceful, humane side
of life."
- JM, TOL Instructor and TC practitioner of 10+ years |
